The new iPhone 3GS will be available for pre-order on the popular Vodafone mobile network up to the 13th Jan 2010, and goes on sale on 14th Jan 2010. Vodafone have some great deals available on this phone, and if you pre-order it, you will benefit from free Vodafone to Vodafone calls for the duration of your chosen tariff.

As at Jan 2010, the cheapest mobile contract which will give you a free iPhone 3GS 16GB on Vodafone, is their £45 per month, 24 month tariff. All their current contracts include 1GB of mobile internet browsing on the iPhone.

The iPhone 3G S can also be tethered with a laptop to provide mobile broadband access. There is an additional charge for laptop mobile broadband usage, with data access charges starting at £5 per 500MB. Tethering can be achieved via either Bluetooth (providing your laptop has Bluetooth of course) or via USB.

The iPhone 3G S is Wi-Fi ready, and Vodafone customers will benefit from a 1GB monthly allowance for BT Openzone Wi-Fi hotspots. These can be found in many hotels, airports and Starbucks coffee shops, see BTOpenZone.com for precise locations.
